Thursday Morning Reflection on Saraswati Jayanti 2016

 

My dear students,

Maataa Saraswati is the Goddess of Knowledge, learning and the fine Arts. She sits on a swan. It is believed that this swan has the power to separate milk from water. If there is a mixture of milk and water, this swan can drink the milk only and leave the water. This swan is symbolic of our discriminating power. For us to get the knowledge we have to make the right choices in our lives. The universe will always present us we choices. The choices will not be easy choices. These choices will be like the mixture of milk and water. It will not be an easy thing to separate the correct choice from the incorrect choice, but we have to make the effort.

I pray that Maataa Saraswati will bless us so that we will make the right choices and progress in our lives.
